Title Deconstruction

For this task I am going to be looking at the title names and timings in an urban drama film. I have chosen to look at the trailer from the film 'Straight Outta Compton' as this is one of the most recent as well as popular urban drama films at the moment and we want ours to be up to date the trailer is 2.26 seconds long. Hopefully by doing this my group and I will have a clearer understanding on titles used within urban dramas.

47 seconds the first major production company is shown which is 'UNIVERSAL'

48 seconds shows the second production company which is not as well know being 'LEGENDARY' this would be our own made production company.

1.25 - 'THIS YEAR' allowing the audience to know that it will be out this year.

1.33- 'DR.DRE' famous rapper.

 1.43- 'EAZY-E' another famous rapper, so that the audience know there are well know actors and signers appearing in the film to attract them to watch it.

1.47- 'ICE CUBE' also famous to attract audience, the text has also been bold, white and in capitals so far to stand out, common typography within urban dramas.

1.51- 'THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS GROUP' building up the climax and pace of the trailer as it states about danger creating excitement.

 2.19- 'STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON'  this is the name of the film and appears while it is saying the title in the background rapping then has a bang sound effect into the title.

2.21- 'COMING SOON' telling the audience that it will be coming soon as its a teaser trailer, it also has a Facebook symbol to show where to find it on social media to find our more details as wee as to promote the movie more. It also includes the production companies.

By doing this task my group and I now know what titles we need to include within our trailer, we know what type of names we need to include as well as the timings. This will help with our editing and make it a lot easier as we know what to include where and when.
