The trailer starts of with this long shot. It clearly depicts soldiers breaching a beach which is being guarded by another force. This shows many conventions of war films such as costume and also props. |
The second notable thing in the trailer is this shot. It is actually two shots that fade together but the war letter seen uses typography from old war notes that have been e=sent to families of soldiers. |
Tanks and soldiers are seen in this shot coming under fire from other soldiers. It is in black and white throughout because it depicts actual scenes of war from the past as the trailer. |
In this shot a soldier and his friend are shown, one of them is clearly injured which is a convention of war films |
Near the end of the trailer this shot is shown. It is a powerful shot and adds to the meaning off the film. It shows a daughter greving because her family has been killed by a bomb. This shows the family being hurt which is also a convention of war films. |
